LIFE TEEN MASS

Every Sunday at 5pm, St Thomas Aquinas hosts a Teen Mass. Contrary to the way it sounds, this Mass is open to everyone of all ages. At the weekly Life Teen Mass, teens and their families experience the depths of God's love through the Word, the community, and the Eucharist. Relevant preaching and quality music bring the Catholic Mass to life.

LIFE Nights

Following the Life Teen Mass, Brandon and the CORE members lead the teens deeper into their Catholic faith in the LIFE Night experience. As a faith community, the teens grow in understanding of what it means to be young and Catholic in the new millennium. The teens are affirmed, educated, and challenged to live the Gospel. Each LIFE night offers the teens a new experience of the church, of our community, and of their Savior. We enhance the reality of Christ's presence here in their lives today, making Church history, doctrine and beliefs relevant to their lives today. We build upon their personal, spiritual, educational, and social ways of development, forming them into moral, contributing members of society.

Retreats

St Thomas Aquinas LIFE TEEN currently offers two retreats a year, one in the fall and one in the spring. These events are quite possibly the most powerful, life changing experiences availble to our teens. Each retreat lasts only a weekend, but it is one weekend that they will never forget. Throughout the weekend they are given opportunities to grow in every aspect of their life, but especially in their relationship with Christ. The weekend is broken into sessions, each session showing them a new way to focus in on the love that God has for them. The weekend peaks with Adoration of the blessed sacrament late Saturday night, which is always the most amazing experience of retreat. The teens open themselves to the power of the Blessed Sacrament and truly allow God into their lives to forever change them! In addition to being spiritually changed forever, we offer many different fun experiences throughout the weekend ranging from our Messy Wars games, to basketball, to a GIANT Rock Wall, to Paintball. It is an experince that teens will never forget!

California Trip

        Every Year, St Thomas Aquinas LIFE TEEN goes to Newport beach and an amusement park. (Typically Six Flags or Disney)

Notre Dame Leadership Conference

         Every summer, St Thomas Aquinas offers eight of our teens who have distinguished themselves as leaders within our community. They spend a week at Notre Dame University along with 500 other teens from across the country building upon their leadership skills and learning about the sacrifices it takes to be a leader within their community.

Concerts

           St Thomas Aquinas LIFE TEEN supports our Christian Musicians! Every opportunity we have to go see a famous and sometimes even some not so famous artist, we are there! More information about these concerts is available at the LIFE nights.

Socials

           St Thomas Aquinas LIFE TEEN understands that teens just need to have fun sometimes! So we fill our schedule with as many different social activities as we can. These range from Ice Skating to Goofy Golf to Movie Nights to Dances to Pool Party's @ the YMCA to Salt River Tubing to Hiking Trips to Gameworks to Bowling to Various Sporting Events and a whole lot more!

Service Projects

            There are many different ways to serve our community at we are happy to tell you about them all. We organize different projects to increase our involvement within the parish but also within the community! Join us at LIFE TEEN for more information on these events!
